Mr. Paul Egule Lokone, BSc, DFM, DACPIT

Consultant – Agriculture Economics, Training & Technology Transfer

Mr. Paul has over 37 years of extensive professional experience in agricultural economics, extension, farmers training, technology transfer and innovations, crop production, agribusiness, marketing, and nutrition. He has served in the National Government of Kenya (GoK) and the County Government of Turkana. Mr. Paul has rendered professional services in this area and pioneered the transformation of arid and semi-arid lands to their current potential in food and nutrition security. Paul has promoted gender and youth empowerment in Agri-business in Turkana and Kenya for the last 4 decades.

Mr. Paul has served as an agricultural extension officer, deputy director of agriculture, and director of agriculture for the Turkana County government. While serving as the County Director for Agriculture in Turkana County Government, Mr. Paul was responsible for overall leadership and management of the Directorate of Agriculture, budgeting, development of work plans, guiding technical teams, performance management, policy, and strategy development and implementation, including the coordination of food security stakeholders in Turkana County (INGOs, NGOs, and CSOs).

Mr. Paul holds a BSc Degree in Agriculture Economics, a Diploma in Farm Management from Egerton University, and a Diploma in Advanced Crop Production and Irrigation Technologies – Israel. Mr. Paul also holds a Professional Certificate in General Agriculture (Bukura Agricultural College, Kenya), a Certificate in Water Shade Management- from India, a Certificate in Spate Irrigation- from Ethiopia, a Certificate in Environmental Social Impact Assessment- from Nyeri, a Certificate in Senior Management-Kenya School of Government in Nairobi and Certificate in Principles Values and Integrity-Kenya School of Government in Mombasa.
