Mr. KIMALI J.F. MUTUKU, MA(Econs), BEd(Arts), MCILT

Lead Consultant – Business Development, Economics, Logistics & Transport

Mr. Kimali is a Lecturer in the Department of Management Science in the School of Business at the Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) where he teaches Economics, Logistics and Research course units. He has a wide teaching experience having previously lectured in various public education institutions in Kenya ranging from secondary schools through to Machakos Technical Training Institute (now Machakos University) and Mombasa Polytechnic (now to the Technical University of Mombasa (TUM). Mr. Kimali is currently a Member of County Empowerment Committee for Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industruy (KNCCI) and has also has consulted as Coodinator – Resouce Mobilization for Kenya Association of Technical Training Institutions (KATTI). He also served as a Deputy Managing Director of the Technical University of Mombasa Enterprises Limited (TUMEL) which is the income generating wing of the University.

Mr. Kimali is currently researching in the areas of Transport Economics & Logistics a project titled “Adaptation to the Changing Ecological Transport Infrastructure by Transport & Logistics Actors along the Northern Transport & Economic Corridor”. Additionally, Mr. Kimali is also the Lead Coordinator in a project to empower Ex-Slaves Descendants in Frertown Mombasa County via a a project titled ”Preserving the Culture & Heritage of Ex-Slaves Descendants in Freretown in Mombasa County” a joint project of Technical University of Mombasa (TUM), National Museum of Kenya (NMK) and County Government of Mombasa (CGM). Previous research assignment include Team Lead in a research assignment with Africa Population & Health Research Centre (APHRC) and Coast Region Reasearch Coordinator for research project for 4UP Consulutants on TIVET Institutions Capacity and Capability.

Mr Kimali is also involved in  Consultancy work on Climate Change Action for KNCCI in a projec titled “Mainstreaming MSME’s Agenda on Climate Change” and is also involved in the Design, Development and Implementation of Climate Change Resilence for Baringo County via a project codenamed “Development & Technology Nexus” with a focus to stem Cattle Rustling menace in the region a joint project with Masinde Muliro University of Science & Technology (MMUST). He is also invoved in consulting on  Business Development via coordinating business trips of a Team of Private Investors from Japan to Kenya lead by Eco-Systems Co Ltd working closly with JICA. Mr Kimali attended the 9th Africities Summit in Kisumu as a Delegate and also participated in Conference organized by Kenya Public Policy & Research Analysis (KIPPRA) as a Panelist on Cllimate Change.

He hlods a Master of Arts degree (M.A) from University of Nairobi and Bachelor of Education (Arts) degree from Egerton University and is a Member of Chartered Institute of Lgistics and Transport (CILT-UK).
